MP, Mu Sochua Appeal for Release of Beung kak Lake Women

At a meeting with Global Ambassador on Women’s Affairs, Melanne Verveer.

MP, Mu Sochua appealed for:

1/ immediate release of 14 women and 1 man from Prey Sar prison;

2/ safe return of opposition leader, MP, Sam Rainsy;

3/ temporary suspension of US aid to Ministry of Defense in Cambodia.

There are high hopes for appeal to be granted by Sec. Hillary Clinton before her visit in Cambodia in July, 2012.

MP, Mu Sochua handed petition for the release of the prisoners, signed by 387 women.
