Campaign – Local Election

Life for women selling their goods at rural markets is a struggle as villagers are poor and many have left rural Cambodia in the North West for farm work in neighboring Thailand.

Daily fees are collected by the market owner but hygiene, sanitation and safety remain a major issue for the rural poor who do not have a voice.

CNRP councilors will put these issues as their agenda for change for the rural poor, in particular for women.

Senator Sochua, each time I read your daily blog messages I am further impressed with your regular concern about the common Cambodian citizen. Your solid commitment to support the democratic future of Cambodia is truly commendable. Thank you for posting your ideas and images from your provincial and international travels.
