A week after the brutal attack on the opposition lawmakers, the independence, neutrality and transparency of the govt. team put in charge of the investigation are being questioned.
The entire team is made up of officials from the Ministry of Interior while questions were raised about the almost no presence of police were seen to monitor and to provide security at the scene of the attack and where the pro- government protest became violent.
Furthermore, re, witnesses, local human rights organizations and photos and videos captured faces of plainclothes municipality police taking part in the protest.
To this day, no arrests have been made when such clear images are going viral on social media

Each day with no result from the investigating team is each day of doubt on the credibility of the investigation.
